so as you know, The Wanted was here recently and they were interviewed by a couple of tv shows , media and radio station. One of them was 8tv Quicke and if you watch the link below, it's the interview of the Wanted on 8tvQuicke!!!
the boys certainly had a time of their lives didn't they?! haha trying out malaysian cuisine and touring around the city. As you can see, they had specially autographed Wanted CDs to be given away!!! HOW EPIC COOL?!?! Being a late bloomer and all, I missed the first few epis of the 8tv quickie and so I didn't had a clue that they were handing out exclusive cds to lucky fans.
I'd only found out about it a few days later and totally went bonkers and insane about it. I was giving it my all to get that autographed CD!!! The lucky caller has to answer a simple question like , name one song from the album. psst how easy?! I could nail this with my brains shut down lol. I tried several times getting through to 8tv but sadly no luck.
Only until yesterday!!! I was extremely lucky to get through after excessively trying for almost 10 minutes of showtime! I wonder how much I've spent on calls alone. Probably dialed 20 plus times on both my house phone as well as my cell phone! it was crazy!!! dialing non stop. call after call listening to the machine say : sorry, the number you've dialed, is busy" ishhh I didn't give up even until the end of the programme. true story,
there was a burning desire in me to keep trying to call in, and so I did, I did not let my guard down not once. Even if it means watching credits after the shows over.Finally I heard someone pick up and so this was the conversation
guy:Hello, this is 8tvQuickie
Me: ahh HI!!! I'm calling about the Wanted signed CD
guy: Yeah. what....
Me: *interrupts guy* OMG can I, can I get it, can I ...
guy: sure of course but all you have to do...
me: OMG AHHHH okay yea...
guy: all you have to do is answer this question.
me: ahhhhh okay okay...
guy : what song did the featured artist performed during the 8tvQuickie?
me: *out of breath and in shock* WHAT?!
guy: *repeats question*
me: *re-plays my memory about the show* Tell Me?!
guy: hmmmm thats right, congrats.you've won the cd
me: AHHHHH OMG THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
then he asked for my details and that was it! crazy isn't it?! Lucky my upstairs brain was working properly. I mean the question just fired at me. I didn't had a clue about the featured artist since I was busy calling in that I did not pay any attention to the show. Lucky I remember Julie said something about "tell me" was the artist first single. that immediately popped in my mind and I just blabed it out. Thank god my guess was right. what are the odds that the name of the song was "tell me" right?! I mean you tell me! Tell Me?! lol pfft Now thats what you can call a wild guess!
I ran upstairs screaming my lungs out, OMG I WON , I WON!!! my mom woke up to calm me down haha. after days of trying , I finally got the exclusive autographed The Wanted CD!!! WOOHOO!!! that'll add to my autograph collection now hhehe.The next day I tuned back to 8tvQuickie to watch who wins the next album. But to my surprise, there was no more wanted cds to be given away!!! OMG that just builds my excitement that made me wonder, DID I just win the last album?! it was freaking remarkable!!! i guess the feeling never left my mind. epic huge. I mean just imagine having a show thats broadcast all over malaysia and the odds of getting through and winning from a tv show is zero to eternity!!! . That definitely made my week!
